Older domains tend to have more established trust and authority with search engines, as they have had more time to build backlinks and accumulate history. While not the only factor, domain age can contribute to SEO performance.
Domain age is calculated from the original registration date recorded in public WHOIS/RDAP records to the current date. Even if a domain changes ownership, the original creation date is usually preserved.
This tool uses the public RDAP (Registration Data Access Protocol) standard, which provides standardized WHOIS data from domain registries. It covers most TLDs including .com, .net, .org, .io, and country-code domains.
