Common Questions

What size should my Open Graph image be?

1200×630 pixels at 72dpi is the sweet spot. It looks sharp on both desktop and mobile on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

Do I need different OG tags for Twitter?

Technically yes — Twitter uses its own twitter:card meta tags, but this generator includes both. Twitter will fall back to OG tags if Twitter-specific tags are absent.

My OG image isn't updating on Facebook even after I changed it. Why?

Facebook caches your OG data aggressively. Go to the Facebook Sharing Debugger, paste your URL, and click "Scrape Again" to force a refresh.
